Oh Saturday!!

My day off....wooohooo...

Today's sequence of events:

1. Cleaned the house!!! (Chases after her fourteen month old, works 40 plus hours a week & still cleans her own house!!!!) What a concept!

2. Shoveled the crappy snow! (This was all done by 9am)...

3.Then proceeded to my mother-in-law's to put plastic on her windows. Thats always a pain in the azz.. Sister in law standing right there, ya think she offtered to help...hell nooooo... she stood there...and bytched the entire time because she wanted to take my mother in law to the store and how much longer was i going to be...Got out of there 2 hours later...

4.Then headed to my mom's for our "thanksgiving dinner" (lupper/linner). My brother then wanted us to come over to his place (The Duke Farm) to play some texas holdem, on his new fancy poker table... Told him I'd have to raincheck his invite tonight for another...He just likes me to play so he can take my money (I'm not very good at it).

5. So here I sit...home at last...me n my lil mann who is fast asleep....

One final note...I'm sick of christmas music already!!!!

Oh look there's snow.... What a f**king surprise!!

Why every year must we go through the same thing?? People you know it's coming...Dayum just deal with it!!! Please learn how to drive in it... If you can't drive on dry pavement...hmmmm.. maybe you shouldn't test your luck in the snow!! Okay okay...I have vented.... Feel a lil better...

I am one of the unfortunate who has to work on the holidays, but hey somebody has to do it.... Yes I will be slaving not just eight hours, but twelve...How lovely is that?? Blah...But oh well whattcha gonna do??

OOh ummm STB if your going out tonight...Please sit safely upon your stool... I really don't wanna spend Thanksgiving with you that bad!! ;) That goes for everyone else too!!!

Thoughts of the week!!!

One thought comes to mind this week.....Why me??? Worked my usual forty hours this week, however it felt like eighty... Monday...Uneventful.. Worked four hours n I was outta there like the wind... Tuesday...Worked twelve and a half hours 7am-730pm... Not bad, however I had to train this new nurse....Just graduated in May and knows possibly everything there is to know....Made for a long day and just about wanted to slap her.... Wednesday...Spilled my coffee on my way to work this fine morning... Got about 4 hours of sleep...feelin reeeeal good...Did I mention I had a cold all week as well....Got to work five minutes late, remembered that I was to work another twelve and a half hours....yaaay...Find out I get to orientate another new nurse...This one is lazy and has no ambition to learn anything...Another fun day...Thursday....Once again spilled my coffee on my way to work...gat dayumit...WTF... I'm not allowing myself to drink coffee in the F150 anymore...yesss another twelve and a half hours..woooohoooo....4 hours of sleep once again...Cold kickin my azz... and oooh goody I get to orientate again...what fun... Only this one has experience (20 some years) thinkin WTF am I gonna teach her...Well yea she's dumber then shyt...and doesnt have a clue about anything....Thinkin how the f**k did you make it this long as a nurse??? Lawd I wanted to shoot myself by the end of this day... Did I mention how much I loooooove orientating new people... Friday... spent the day with my son (geeeez is he a busy body...into everything) wooo made me tired...picked my mom n stepdad up at the airport....This was my most enjoyable day...Now I'm sitting down to drink, drink, drink my little heart out...as well as catch a rerun of repo men....Still have this dayum cold too...GRRRRRRR....WTF...

What a weekend!!


Well I wish my luck at the casino was as good as the Packers on Sunday!! Unfortunately I am still a broke son of a bytch, even broker after Friday nite. Glad we chose not to stay at the casino hotel because I would have probably lost the house the way my hubby and my brother were playing blackjack...We ended up staying at the Wilderness... Very nice place... My back is killing me from the waterslides, but I still had fun at the time...OOOh yea uncle ken and uncle arnie... (the have a very nice golf course too).... Brian wants to go out there for the golf/spa weekend... Just an FYI aunties!! ;) Who knows might be fun to get an eighty dollar pedicure...

What a f**kin crazy week!?!?




Once again work was psychotic this week! It seriously had to be the cold front moving in, especially yesterday!!! I love taking care of people who don't want to be taking care of!! Yeah rite! My patient assignment consisted of a cute lil old lady who was so pleasant and appreciative even though she was in so much pain. THEN!!! My other patient was a detox (cocaine) young man who insisted on cussing me out, ripping out IVs and almost hit me!! Gotta luv it!! Let me tell ya if I wasn't punched in ooooo hell it woulda been on!! But of course I spent more time dealing with him then trying to take care of my lil lady because he was being such a pain in the azz. Finally he said the magic words of I want to leave against medical advice (AMA)... GLADLY let me get you the paperwork (ya lil f**ker) (I was thinking). Called the doc and said get down here now he wants to leave AMA. MD arrived and said he cant leave, I'm thinkin the hell he can't.. He says he's on a police hold. Well let me call his ride for him and then they can deal with him. So I did. They showed up and said we can't take him... Thinking once again the hell you can't.... They say he hasn't been medically cleared... I look at the officer, frustrated, irritated and annoyed and said...Oh he will be... Called the doc back...Get your happy azz back down here and clear this young man so they can take him!! Oh I can't do that...Thinking once again the hell you can't...umm yes now you must! Long story short! The cops take the kid! I'm thinking to self Thank God!! The charge nurse tells me guess what I have another patient for you!! OOOOh yaaaay!! Patient arrives almost the same identical situation!! I'm thinking WTF is going on today!! Told the charge this one will be outta here in 30 minutes... Called the MD pager on the orders, guess what same doc (WTF)... He comes clears the patient!! After arguing with me for 5 minutes... Called the cops!! Guess what?? Same cop shows up!! We were both laughin our azzez off!! How crazy is that!! 29 minutes later the fella was on his way out the door to Milwaukee County Mental Hospital!!! Word to the wise, Don't mess with the nurses!! HA HA HA!!!! All I can say is THANK GOD I'M OFF TIL MONDAY!!!! Tomorrow I will be on my way to HO-Chunk to win some cash!! WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! Have a great weekend everybody!!!

Trust me I say this sarcasticly!! More meetings yay! Please tell me why people who don't have any clue of the meeting topic even open their mouths??? This just makes the meetings longer, true?!? Was ready to box with this girl this morning because she thought she knew what a neurological assessment included but yet her comments and remarks, hell everything she said was false. And if I heard, why do we need to include that one more f**kin time, I was gonna slap her...Ok woooosaaaa deep cleansing breath... ahhhhh much better!! And yes STB, I did say woooosaaa...haha!! =) (Can here the comment already) This weekend was very uneventful for me...didnt do much worked on saturday! Sat around on Sunday!! Didnt drink a dayum thang!!! Why you might ask...well dayum sinus infection and antibotics....blah blah...So yea like I said very uneventful... OOOOh hey aunties aleta and janet guess who's walking all by him self now.... yaaaaay... A pround mama over here, as if you can't tell... =) Have a great day everyone!! A good friend passed this poem on to me about seven years ago. Seven years ago my only dream was to make it through nursing school and become the best nurse I could be. However, seven years ago, I was told "you don't have what it takes to become a nurse!" This was told to me by someone a college student can trust to help them with and talk through their issues/problems and concerns. A college counseler. Well sometimes we use these types of comments to drive us and make us better people... That is what I did...Guess what missy, I didnt need you, I did it all on my own....

I'm putting this poem out here for others to see. It has a great message and is very inspirational. I hope others can use it to motivate them or assist them with issues in life, not just dreams but difficult situations as well... I have referred to this poem many times since I received it and it has helped me change my thinking or my strategy in lifes little games...

Please excuse my lack of posts as well...I have been very busy working and chasing around my lil man of 14 months...He's starting to walk now, so needless to say he thinks he is king. My he has a lot to learn.
