R. I. P.

Late post... I am sorry....April 19th 2006... LH Jr. passed away... He was the loving father of my cousin's fiance Nikki.. They are planning their wedding for this September. Larry was fighting a battle with cancer. I know Nikki wanted her dad to be there for their special day and this is why rush to plan... Please take a moment to think of Nikki and her grieving family... Nikki we love you as part of the family already and will do anything to help. My condolences.... You are in our thoughts!

Still Looking.....For a roofer... That is!

So yea... still calling and getting quotes... I hate this crap... Estimates from 11000 to 4000. My brother is still the lowest... HA HA... Now the hubby says... Let's get estimates on windows too... Where the hell did you find the money tree because last time I looked at the book, I cried.... So every day since my last post I have people creeping around my house looking at this that and the other thing... Driving me nuts... Of course he has these people coming when he's not home, so he's not bothered by it. ROARRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Ok one other situation to vent about... so I lied...one more....
I'm driving home the other night (yes back to STB's shitty driver comments)... I am going east bound on 94 to 794. I have this little thinking I'm hot fool driving his 98 silver mustang (V6).. Anyways, I am in the left lane (like always) and he is in the right lane. Well as we get to the end of 94 (where lake drive and 794 exits come into play) he decides he wants to get off on lake drive... HOWEVER!!!!!! HELLOOOOO!!! BIG ASS F150 (that would be me) currently next to him in the left lane... This idiot decides to make a lane change well not just a lane change... A fucking left turn from the right lane.... Coming within inches of my front end.... He was soooooo close I could smell his sweat.... Luckily, I had a feeling he was going to do this so I glanced, just prior to the incident, in my right mirror to see if anyone was in the lane next to me or in my blind spot... Thank god there was not, so as he made a sharp left to exit... I was able to swing to the right slightly avoiding his driver's side door.... HOLY SHIT!!!! Good god... If want to exit... then get in the lane prior to the exit!!!!! Common sense!!! Please someone tell me since when do left turns (with no green arrows) have the right away??? Had that incident the same night as well.... Almost 2 accidents in one night... And I wasn't even drunk... I was just trying to pick up my son and get my happy ass home to have a few!!!!
On a happy note!!!!! I am off Thurs, fri, sat and sun this week... WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!

Spring is here!!!

The weather is week has been interesting! However yesterday was beautiful. I had the day off, yaaaaay. So I did a little work in the yard, pulling weeds and laying dirt. This is always an adventure while chasing the 19 month old around the yard. We had fun. As I'm doing my yard work I hear birds in my garage. Oh great what the hell?!? I walk to the westside of the garage and notice a huge hole in the sofit (think I spelled that one wrong) anyways, the birds pecked a hole in the sofit and built a nest. LOVELY!!!!
My house has needed roof work for a couple of years but yea well this is what I get for putting it off. Anyways, I call for an estimate. Yea sure I guess I'm going to be doing this myself... The husband is afraid of heights... he won't do it... My little brother wants to charge me an additional $2000.00. So he can "make some money". You don't "make money" off of your broke relatives!!! That is just wrong... I guess I'll be charging cab fair the next time he needs to be picked up from the bar at 2am. Shithead!!! Wait until I tell my father about this one!!!
And best of all was the estimate I received from the "professional". I almost pissed my pants when I saw that one. Mind you, my house is a small ranch and the garage is 2.5 cars. Really not that difficult to do. Let's just say he's on crack!! And I'll do it myself before I pay $15000.00.
So if anybody sees me lying in the bushes in the front yard because I fell off the roof after I tripped over the nail gun..... Pick me up, ok... Thanks!!!!

By now STB has reunited with MM. Congrats on your night of essence and excitement! I raise my glass of JD as I sit here in my chair after a looooong day at work. STB I commend you for your strength over these days of lent... Good job buddy! Enjoy! (Just remember, I gave it up for nine months.....hehehe)

Busy Busy!!!!

This week has been crazy!!! Monday... Went to opening day with my son, my brother and my dad!! Had a blast!! Sat on the third base side... Level 1... fourteenth row.... Awesome seats!! Thanks Jenny!!!!! (My brother's girlfriend works at Miller Park) It pays to have connections!! I was kind of nervous about taking Nick... I wasn't sure if he was going to sit still or not!! But he did, it helped having two other laps to pass him back and forth too! Every time the pitcher threw the ball he would yell BAAAAAAAAALL!! Oh my goodness it was soooooo funny! Leaving the park is always a blast... Dodging the drunks as they weeble and wobble along... attempting to find their cars.... Had two people in front of us as we were leaving that fell flat on their faces... Yes I am a nurse...but not today! I laughed and kept on walking! It's a known fact in the medical field that when drunks fall... They bounce and hardly ever get hurt!!! They are just sore the next morning in more ways then one!
